The Media: Does The Mainstream Media Create Their Own News?

[ad_1]

When someone wants to find out about what is taking place around them, there is the chance that they will look towards the mainstream media. This is because this source will be seen as being trustworthy and reliable.

And when one wants to find out about what is going on, they could end up turning their TV on. This can then mean that they will sit back and believe everything that this source tells them about what is going on in the world.

A Number of Ways

Alternatively, they might prefer to go online and to see what is taking place on a certain website. Or, if this is not the case, they may have a number of different sites that they tend to visit.

And, if one has some kind of device, they are going to be able to do this no matter where they are. Therefore, it is going to be a lot easier one to take this approach than it will be for them to watch TV.

No Excuses

It could then be said that if one doesn't know what is taking place, it will come down to the fact that they don't want to know. What they need to know is always going to be a few finger taps away.

Naturally, there are going to be moments when one is too busy to see what is going on a around them, but this is going to be different to having absolutely no interest in what is taking place. So compared with their ancestors, one is going to be in a far better position when it comes to what is taking place in the world.

Staying Up To Date

And while one can have the desire to find out about what is going on in the world, they can also have the need to be informed about something in particular. For example, if an election is about to take place or if a country is being attacked, one might not want to miss out on anything.

What is taking place in the world could end up consuming them, and it will then be a challenge for them to think about anything else. Or, one could put it to one side when they are at work, for instance, and end up thinking about it when they finish.

The Truth

But if the mainstream media didn't exist, it would be a lot harder for them to find out about what is actually taking place around them. It would then be down to them to find out for themselves.

Naturally, this would take a lot of time and energy, and it would be down to them to work out if something is true or not. Based on this, one should be grateful that the mainstream media exists.

In The Middle

One way of looking at it would be to say that the mainstream media simply passes on what is taking place in the world. This is then similar to how if one needs something delivered to their house from a supermarket, a van will bring it over.

The van won't do anything to the food; it will simply allow them to have what they need without having to leave their house. This van, like the mainstream media, is there to make their life easier.

Let Down

However, if something was to happen to the food during this journey, it would be normal for one to get angry. What would also cause problems is if they ended up with food that they didn't even order.

If something like this was to happen when it comes to the mainstream media, it would be the same as this source passing on information that doesn't reflect what actually took place. Or, it would be the same as them creating their own news.

Back To Reality

Yet, if one believes that the mainstream media only exists to inform people, they might believe that this would never happen. They could believe that there is no reason for them to deliberately misconstrue what takes place, or to talk about things that haven't even happened.

At the same time, they might realise that this source of information doesn't always talk about what is actually taking place. But as for this source of information creating their own news, this might be too hard to believe.

A Completely Different Purpose

So if the mainstream media doesn't exist to inform people, why does it exist? It could be said that this source of information has their own agenda, and the people behind the scenes are the ones who define what this agenda is.

At times, this will mean that they will put their own spin on what has taken place and, at other times, it will result in them talking about something that has even taken place. If one had a friend who treated them in this way, it would be clear that they don't have their best interests at heart.

The Ultimate Betrayal

The very source that is supposed to exist to keep the masses informed is secretly taking them for one hell of a ride. Fortunately, there are plenty of people who are only too aware of how duplicitous this source is.

What has made a big difference here is the fact that people can now look towards the alternative media. This is not to say that this source of information can always be trusted, but it makes it easier to see when the mainstream media is lying.

Conclusion

When it comes to who controls the mainstream media, there are a number of different people and organisations that could be mentioned. Nevertheless, what is clear is that the people behind this source of information are not interested in a peaceful world.

So, if one does pay attention to this source of information, it will be vital for them to question what they are told. If they don't do this, they will be making it easier for the people behind the scenes to implement their grand plan.
